Our security team has learned that a series of illegitimate text messages may be targeting our customers. Several customers have reported receiving text messages stating that their debit card has been deactivated and asking them to call a phone number for assistance. This is not a legitimate message from Umpqua Bank.

We want to remind you that Umpqua Bank will not initiate any unsolicited contact with you by text message. Remember that you can call us at 1-866-486-7782 if you're ever unsure whether a communication or request for account information from us is authentic. If you receive a phishing email that appears to be from Umpqua Bank, please forward it to us at reportphishing@umpquabank.com.
