Umpqua Bank Charitable Foundation Awards $337,500 in Community Grants to 56 Nonprofits
Umpqua Bank partners with nonprofits to create thriving communities, economically empowered individuals and vibrant business ecosystems
The Umpqua Bank Charitable Foundation, a 501(c)(3) organization of Umpqua Bank, today announced it has awarded 56 grants to local nonprofits across its footprint totaling $337,500. This is the first of three cycles of the bank’s 2024 Community Grants Program.
“Recipients of our community grants demonstrate an unwavering commitment to building stronger and more resilient communities,” said Randy Choy, Vice President of Philanthropy Programs and Managing Director of the Umpqua Bank Charitable Foundation. “We’re honored to work alongside these organizations and support their missions.”
During this latest grant cycle, the Umpqua Bank Community Grants Program reached nonprofits across Oregon, Washington, California, Idaho, Arizona, Colorado and Nevada. Umpqua Bank’s grant programs are one pillar of the Umpqua Bank Charitable Foundation’s giving strategy. In total, the foundation has invested more than $18.5 million across the bank’s local communities since its formation in 2014.

This cycle’s recipient organizations were selected for demonstrating a shared commitment to improving economic opportunities for under-resourced individuals, families, and small businesses. Nonprofits receiving grants are mission-driven and focused on the following areas: Financial Competency, College, Career and Technical Readiness, Family Engagement and Resiliency, Entrepreneurship and Business Expansion, Housing Stability and Home Ownership, Vibrant and Equitable Neighborhoods, and Small Business Support and Financial Guidance.
