Warm Hearts Winter Drive: 10 years of sharing warmth
Our 2024 Warm Hearts Winter drive launches Monday, Dec. 18. This marks the 10th year of the associate-led initiative to raise money and collect warm winter supplies for local families and children experiencing homelessness.
A decade of growing support
The Warm Hearts Winter Drive began in 2015 at Columbia Bank. Over the next 8 years, it raised more than $2 million and benefited nearly 70 shelters. Thanks to the 2023 merger with Umpqua Bank, the Warm Hearts mission has expanded across a larger footprint and now partners with over 100 shelters in Washington, Oregon, Idaho, Colorado, Utah, Arizona and California.
To date, the Warm Hearts Winter Drive has raised over $2.63 million to help those struggling to stay warm through online and in-branch donations, and business and community sponsorships.
Addressing a growing need
Resources are up and the number of shelter beds has risen. However, the support struggles to keep up with demand. Every year since 2016, homelessness has increased. And historically, most people experiencing homelessness are doing so for the first time.* When you donate to the Warm Hearts Winter Drive, you bolster our partner shelters’ efforts to provide hope and essential services, from warm winter coats, hats, gloves and socks to a nutritious meal and safe place to sleep.
Every dollar helps. Join us!
Donations are tax-deductible and stay local to help those within the community where they are given. To learn more, visit warmheartswinterdrive.com.
