Jason Spohn is a seasoned professional with over 20 years of experience in mortgage banking and over 25 years in financial services. Before embarking on his career in the financial sector, Jason worked as an Equipment Lease Broker. A lifelong resident of Portland, OR, Jason only left the city for his college years in Eugene, where he proudly supports the Ducks.

Specializing in first-time home buyers and down payment assistance, Jason offers valuable insights to his clients, advising them to be prepared to compromise on certain aspects of their first home. He emphasizes that the first home is often a stepping stone rather than a forever home.

At Umpqua Bank, Jason serves as a Home Loan Officer, dedicated to assisting current and potential customers with their questions and the bank's products. His deep roots in Portland and over two decades of banking experience fuel his passion for addressing the housing crisis.

Jason's biggest strength lies in his ability to educate clients on the home-buying process. His efforts have not gone unnoticed, as he was named the 2017 Umpqua HLD Branch Manager of the Year and served as the former President of the Portland Chapter of AREAA.

On a personal note, Jason is a 6th generation Oregonian and a 3rd generation Portlander. He lives in Portland with his 80-pound Bernedoodle, Reggie. In his free time, Jason coaches the men's golf team at Sherwood High School, sharing his love for golf with future generations.
